About this event
The Bull Run Hunt's fall hunter pace at Highlands near Rapidan, part of a nine-event Virginia hunter pace series with points toward series awards. Teams of two to four riders compete for optimum time over an approximately six-mile marked course through open farmland and wooded trails. All jumps are optional and can be ridden around or through a gate, and courses are marked well enough that walking them beforehand isn't necessary. Divisions are Hunt (jumping), Pleasure (flat) and Junior, with first-place prizes and ribbons through fourth. Sidesaddle and western riders are welcome. First riders out at 9:00 a.m., last riders out at 1:00 p.m. Helmets required, negative Coggins required in hard copy, no dogs. Snacks and drinks provided.
Pricing: Pre-entry $50 adult / $25 junior; day-of $55 adult / $30 junior
