Orkney Springs is a small historic mineral-springs village in the Shenandoah Valley, home to Shrine Mont, a 1,200-acre retreat center operated by the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia built around the 19th-century Orkney Springs Hotel. The area serves as base camp for the Old Dominion 100-Mile Endurance Ride, one of the oldest continuously run 100-mile endurance rides in the United States.
