This Weekend in Virginia Horse Country (November 6–8, 2026)

Steeplechase jockeys in colorful silks gallop past a white rail at the Montpelier Hunt Races, with James Madison's Montpelier mansion and a white tent in the background.

The first full weekend of November brings National Steeplechase Association racing to Montpelier, championship hunter/jumper classes in Lexington, a hunter pace in Bedford County, season-closing schooling shows and a Veterans Day polo match at Great Meadow. Here's where to be November 6–8.
